This website is intended to inform people to emphasize the
wildlife preservation. Nowadays, people do not give importance to the
endangered species because they focus more on developing technology. We are
going to show the present situation of the following kinds of animals.
Wildlife can be found in all ecosystems. Deserts, forests,
rain forests, plains, grasslands, and other areas including the most developed
urban areas, all have distinct forms of wildlife. While the term in popular
culture usually refers to animals that are untouched by human factors, most
scientists agree that much wildlife is affected by human activities.
Humans have historically tended to separate civilization
from wildlife in a number of ways including the legal, social, and moral sense.
Some animals, however, have adapted to suburban environments. This includes
such animals as domesticated cats, dogs, mice, and gerbils. Some religions
declare certain animals to be sacred, and in modern times concern for the
natural environment has provoked activists to protest against the exploitation
of wildlife for human benefit or entertainment.
The entrance fee was very affordable because it only cost
five pesos for those students and children who wanted to explore nature that cannot be seen in the city.
First Destination: Raptors, Mammals, and Reptiles
We saw rare animals
that can only be seen in the wild such as different kinds of reptiles such as
snakes, crocodiles, turtle, Philippine Sailfin Lizard (ibid), Visayan Monitor
Lizard (bayawak).
We also encountered different kinds of mammals including birds such as Brahminy Kite (Lawin), Black Kite, Palawan Hornbill (Talusi), Pinsker’s Hawk Eagle (Banog), Congo African grey parrot, Blue and yellow macaw.
Here's the video that shows the footage or scenes that was captured by The Adventurers.
Second Destination: Gazebo
After we went at the part of the wildlife center where animals are place, We looked for a place wherein we could relax while enjoying the view. We found the place called 'Gazebo'. There, we could see the real beauty of nature that is surrounded by a lagoon.
Expectation and reaction:
Our group was expecting that the Wildlife Center’s animal were taken good care by the facilitators but we were surprised to what we have seen. Some of the cages are abandoned, the other were overpopulated, and there is not enough space for them to roam around. We observed that the facilities were damaged and unclean that may cause health problems on the animals. However, the location of the wildlife center is still covered by trees and inside of it, we will see the beauty of the nature itself. In addition, you will feel the freshness of the air.
